After lunch we pick you up from your hotels and drive to Kohinoor for shopping. Thereafter proceed to the Fountainhas, across the Rua De Ourem creek which is Latin Quarter of the Panjim. Sandwiched between the Ourem creek and Althino hill, these were the first residential complexes built in a hurry when Goa’s capital was shifted from old Goa to Panjim. Locals still speak Portuguese here. The roads are narrow and snake through one – storied houses with protruding balconies which still retain the Mediterranean charm.
We now proceed to Panjim the capital city of Goa stop at "18th June Road" the high street of Panjim with arrange of shops selling anything from cashew nuts wines to clothes.
At 17:30 hrs you are driven through the bustling commercial city- Mapusa and away into Assagoa village which lies of the beaten track. Tucked in the sleepy village is the Astoria – an old Goan home, now a delightful little restaurant famous for its authentic Goan cuisine. Tucked away in the hill side are the 10 rooms which are the part of the property.
After the leisurely dinner drive to Arpora village which is home to Saturday night bazaar. Walk around taking in the sights or strike up a bargain for that coveted piece of jewellery. Have a little souvenir put together for you.
Drift towards the stage and enjoy the entertainment which could range from Indian classical to fusion to western music. Entertainers could be professional or amateur – the stage is yours.
